Privacy policy

What information CreditRebuild collects, how we measure visits and the choices you have.

CreditRebuild (creditrebuildfunding.com) is operated by RASHBI LLC, 30 N Gould Street, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801. This policy explains what information CreditRebuild collects when you visit creditrebuildfunding.com and how it is used.

Information we collect

  • Server and delivery data: technical request data, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, which our hosting provider records to deliver and protect the site.
  • Analytics: how readers use the site, measured with PostHog. What it records, and how that depends on where you visit from, is set out under “Analytics with PostHog” below.
  • Our own counts: we count article views and clicks on partner links on our own servers, recording the country, region, device type and referring site of each. These counts don’t record your IP address or your browser’s user agent, and they don’t use cookies.
  • Messages you send us: information you choose to send us, such as the contents of an email, which we keep to respond.

We do not offer accounts, and CreditRebuild itself does not set advertising cookies.

Analytics with PostHog

We use PostHog, an analytics service. Your browser reaches PostHog only through CreditRebuild’s own address (creditrebuildfunding.com/ingest), never directly. We pass your IP address on to PostHog so it can work out which country you are visiting from.

PostHog records:

  • the pages you view and when you leave them, including your time on the page, how far you scroll and, on articles, how far through the article you read;
  • clicks on our partner links (links starting with /go/);
  • the site that referred you and any campaign (UTM) tags in the link you followed;
  • details of your browser and device.

If you visit from the UK, the EU or the EEA

Visitors from the UK (including Gibraltar, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man) and from the EU and EEA (including their territories) see a banner first. Visitors whose country cannot be determined, for example through Tor or some VPNs, see the same banner. Nothing is sent to PostHog and nothing is stored in your browser until you answer.

  • Accept: PostHog measures your visits in full, using its own first-party cookie (its name starts with ph_ and ends with _posthog) and your browser’s local and session storage.
  • Decline: your visits are still counted, but without cookies: PostHog uses a server-side hash that changes daily instead of an identifier stored in your browser. Your browser keeps only your answer (sk_consent, below) and PostHog’s own record that you declined.

You can change your answer at any time with the Privacy choices link in the footer. If you withdraw your consent, the PostHog cookie and PostHog’s storage are removed from your browser.

If you visit from anywhere else

Visitors from everywhere else are measured in full from their first page, with the same PostHog cookie and storage, and see no banner.

Session recordings and heatmaps

For visitors measured in full, PostHog also makes session recordings and heatmaps in a share of sessions. They show us how our pages are used so we can improve them. Visitors who decline are never recorded.

What CreditRebuild stores in your browser

Besides PostHog’s cookie and storage described above, CreditRebuild keeps two entries in your browser’s local storage:

  • sk_consent: your answer to the banner, granted or denied.
  • sk_internal: set only by the site owner, by opening a page with ?internal=on, to leave staff visits out of our analytics.

Partner links go through /go/ addresses on creditrebuildfunding.com and are labeled as sponsored. When you follow one, you leave CreditRebuild. The partner may set cookies or collect information under its own privacy policy, including to record that you arrived from CreditRebuild.

How we use information

To operate, secure and improve the site, and to reply to messages. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

If you visit from the UK, the EU or the EEA, the Privacy choices link in the footer lets you accept, decline or withdraw your consent at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. To ask about, correct or delete information you have sent us, write to contact@creditrebuildfunding.com.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page.
