Editorial policy
How CreditRebuild researches, writes, reviews and corrects its articles.
CreditRebuild publishes general information to help business owners make better funding decisions. This policy explains how we produce that information.
Sources
- Every article starts from a research brief with sources for each fact and figure.
- We state rates, fees, costs and funding times only when a source or the provider’s own disclosure gives them.
- When a number is a provider’s estimate, such as an estimated APR, we say so.
What we will not say
- That approval is guaranteed, or approval odds a provider has not stated.
- That a product has no credit check unless the provider states it.
- That any one product suits every business or situation.
Describing products accurately
Different products work differently, and we use the provider’s terms for them. For example, a merchant cash advance is typically structured as a purchase of future receivables rather than a loan, and invoice factoring is a sale of invoices at a discount. Costs and terms vary by provider and by business.
Some states require commercial financing providers, and in some states brokers, to disclose costs such as an estimated APR. Rules change, so check the current requirements where you operate.
Independence
Partners do not review or approve our articles before publication. Affiliate relationships may affect which offers we show, but not what we say about a product or the facts we report. Sponsored placements are labeled as sponsored. See our advertiser disclosure.
Corrections and updates
If we get something wrong, we correct it and update the affected articles. News articles reflect the facts as of their publication date; when an article changes materially after publication, we mark it as updated and show the date. To report an error, contact us.
Not advice
CreditRebuild is not a lender, broker or financial adviser. Our articles are general information, not financial, legal or tax advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your situation before you borrow.
